Munds Park is an unincorporated rural community located south of Flagstaff and east of Sedona and is home to some 600 residents.  Munds Park is known for its outdoor recreation, which include a trail system that surrounds the town that’s perfect for riding ATVs, mountain biking, or hiking.  People also enjoy operating off road and all-terrain vehicles in the summer.

Shopping & Dining

As Munds Park is a small community, it does have a convenience store and the Pinewood Farmer’s Market held every Saturday which has about 50-80 vendors. What makes this farmer’s market unique is that no two markets are the same during the summer, as well as being host to events such as a Classic Car Show, Heritage Park WILDLIFE Zoo Show, Motorsport Show, Northern Arizona Authors Association, Polish Festival, Women Rock 4th of July Celebration, Memorial Day BLAST, among others. The Pinewood Bar & Grill is where the locals go for great food and good times.  Nearby Flagstaff and Sedona offer their own array of shopping choices.

Parks & Recreation

There’s a wide range of recreational activities available to residents of Munds Park.  In addition the Munds Park Trail System, there’s also the Arizona Trail that connects Munds Park and Mormon Lake. There’s also a number of lakes in the area such as Lake O'Dell, where you’ll find kayakers and fishermen enjoying themselves.  It’s also a great place to see ospreys and bald eagles. Lake Mary and Mormon Lake, Arizona’s largest natural lake, are also great for water sports.

Munds Park is also home to the Pinewood Country Club and is a prominent feature of the area.  The course is open only seasonally after Memorial Day through October. One unique feature of the course is its lighting warning system that warns golfers of possible lighting strikes.

Education

Students living in Munds Park attend schools in the Flagstaff Unified School District.

Happy Jack

Happy Jack is a community located in Coconino County, Arizona and is home to the Discovery Channel Telescope. It is also home to Happy Jack Lodge which is an RV park and contains Jack’s Place Steakhouse & Bar. People enjoy fishing, hiking, hunting, and horseback riding in the scenic environment of the area.
