If You Love the Great Outdoors, You'll Love Munds Park

by Gary Nelson

If you're someone who enjoys living in a place where you can just step outside to get away from it all, while not being too far from the conveniences of a larger city, then Munds Park is the ideal solution.  With only about 600 residents, you won't feel too crowded. Yet it's only a short drive to Flagstaff or Sedona.

Just because it's a small community doesn't mean Munds Park residents don't know how to have fun. Every year they host events such as a Classic Car Show, Heritage Park WILDLIFE Zoo Show, Polish Festival, Motorsport Show, Women Rock 4th of July Celebration, Memorial Day BLAST, and more.

But of course the real draw is the beautiful parks. If you love to hike and bike, you'll never get tired of the Munds Park Trail System and the Arizona Trail.  And for all you water sport enthusiasts, Lake Mary and Mormon Lake are the perfect lakes for kayaking and fishing. And if it's golfing you're into, no problem.  The Pinewood Country Club is one of the prominent features of Mounds Park and offers a championship course.

If Mund's Park sounds like the perfect place to call home, then search for your dream home today.

Sell Your Home Faster!

by Gary Nelson

Ready to sell your home?  You may not be as ready as you think!  Selling your home is an exciting time. But selling your home can also be overwhelming.  You can make the process go much smoother if you keep a few basic tips in mind.

1. Get Storage

You may think you can hide all your extra stuff in closets or the garage. But don't forget that buyers want to see those areas as well.  So it's best to get a place to store the things you don't need.  This also has the advantage of having your items packed and ready to move into your new home.  Two birds with one stone!

2. De-personalize and De-clutter

Buyers are coming to your home to see what the home will be like if they buy it.  So it needs to be as clean of a slate as possible. Take your family photos off the wall, no matter how cute the dog and the kids are. Store all the nick nacks and other personal items. Take down any artwork that may turn people off.  The less it looks like your home, the better.

3. Curb Appeal

First impressions. We all know the saying.  If your yard is unkempt, buyers may drive right on by. Sometimes potential buyers will drive by a home before scheduling a showing, so you need to keep up that curb appeal.  Hire a landscaper if needed.  Spruce up the paint and clean the porch.  Replace burned out porch lights. And ask a friend or neighbor to give you an honest opinion about how things look.

There's certainly more things that will help sell your home faster.  Give us a call if you're considering selling your home in Flagstaff or the surrounding areas, and we'll be glad to help you through the process.

Find Your Corner of Winslow

by Gary Nelson

‚ÄčEven though Winslow was already well known due to it being located along Route 66, it found a never-ending burst of fame in the Eagles hit "Take it Easy" with the immortal verse “standing on a corner in Winslow, Arizona." That short little snippet from that song stuck with people, and since then, millions have been drawn to stand on a corner in Winslow.  But why just stand here when you can live here?

There's obviously a reason why Glen Frey wrote those words.  Winslow is a great American town that's part of the enduring history of the great Route 66.  Natural wonders abound in this area. But there are even more great things about Winslow that draw people here due to it's increased popularity over the past 40 or so years. There are a lot of interesting shops and restaurants to suit any need. Winslow also has a number of fine parks for the enjoyment of its residents.

If you want to learn more about this famous town, visit our Winslow Real Estate & Community Information page for more information and to search for your corner of Winslow.
